SEESPITZ-tip:
Short trip to the Castle Ruin Eisenberg and Hohenfreyberg via the Schlossberg-Alm (985 m)

These two ruins from the 14th and 15th century can be reached by foot with relative ease. Apart from interesting information about the history and life on a fortress in the Middle Ages, which is provided on wall charts, it also offers a wonderful view across the Füssener and Pfrontener local mountains such as the Tegelberg, Säuling, Aggenstein and Breitenberg.

From the parking space at the Schlossbergalm you will reach the ruins in approx. 20 minutes. The Schlossbergalm offers a wonderful view across the valley and is recommended as a resting place for a meal at the end of your walking tour.

When arriving by car from SEESPITZ Hotel drive in the direction of Pfronten, turn off right at the roundabout in the Marktoberdorf direction. Then turn left in Zell. Once in the centre of Zell, turn right again in the Schlossbergalm direction.

Alternatively, you can drive to the parking space at the tourism office and then, via the Schlossbergalm, you will reach the ruins in approx. 1 hour.
